Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.
Arrive with hair about a quarter inch long (roughly two to three weeks of growth). Avoid heavy exfoliation 48 hours before, and skip tanning or retinoids to reduce sensitivity.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on the first visit, but it’s brief. Most clients report soreness for 12–48 hours, relieved by cool compresses and gentle moisturizing.
For best results hair should be about 1/4 inch long so the wax can grab properly. Too short hair won’t adhere; too long hair may be trimmed during the appointment.
Frequency varies by growth rate, but most clients return every four to six weeks. Regular waxing weakens follicles, often lengthening intervals between appointments over time.
Certain skin conditions, active infections, recent chemical peels, or use of Accutane may prevent waxing. Inform your esthetician about medications, pregnancy, or allergies before booking.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, avoid heavy fragrances, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, and apply soothing products as recommended.
