Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Chest Wax.

Clean, exfoliated skin with hair at least 1/4 inch long yields best results. Avoid heavy lotions, sun exposure, and blood-thinning medications before your visit. Arrive relaxed; our technician will assess skin sensitivity and explain the process.

Some discomfort is normal, especially during initial sessions, but pain is brief. We use warm wax, swift technique, and soothing compresses. Regular waxing reduces sensitivity over time, making future sessions noticeably more comfortable.

Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and care. As hair regrows finer after repeated waxing, intervals may extend and maintenance appointments can be scheduled accordingly.

Avoid shaving between waxes; it removes hair at the surface and can interfere with the waxing schedule. If trimming is necessary, use scissors or an electric trimmer, leaving roughly 1/4 inch for best waxing results.

Certain conditions like recent sunburn, active skin infections, open wounds, severe varicose veins, or use of retinoids/accutane may preclude waxing. Disclose medications and skin issues during booking so we can advise or suggest alternatives safely.

Avoid heavy exercise, hot showers, saunas, and tight clothing for 24 hours. Use a gentle cleanser, avoid exfoliation for 48 hours, and apply soothing lotion or aloe to reduce redness and prevent irritation.
